Figured I'd write a far more detailed review because of this brand new 2015 Samsung design than what I've seen posted up to now. Being truly a 2015 model, there is not much on the market at this time (one semi-professional evaluation on the market, google it). We purchased the 40 inch version from the different site because of the Amazon and cost not really matching it. I also own a 48" Samsung 6350 series (2014) and a 60" Panasonic ST60 model (2013). This J5500 design doesn't have as much features because the 6350 but arrives very close up. The display quality is great, not plasma high quality but for the purchase price, it's great. Exact same apps because the 6350, exact same quad-primary processor and exactly the same design nearly. This can be a SmartTV with Samsung's strong Iine-up of apps including Netflix, Amazon lnstant Video, Pandora and many more. Much like the 6350, this 5500 design plays documents over my house network easily. Probably the most difficult files I must play are 25mbps AVC/AAC m2ts data files from the Panasonic 1080/60p camcorder. These play without stuttering smoothly. H264 encoded files play without problem also. Wifi seems quick on a 5 reasonably.5mbps DSL connection streamin Amazon Instant Video. It can have got an ethernet interface for wired connections (10/100), 3 HDMI ports, 2 USB with one providing 5V for strength (Chromecast for instance). VESA holes for installation are 200x200 for the 40" model (appearance on Samsung site for other dimensions). Could work with a smaller, full-movement arm because of this. TV itself is about 17 pounds minus the stand. It can have a complete web browser nonetheless it does not assistance Flash (I have no idea of a Television internet browser that does assistance Flash).
