Shakespeare EZ Cast Baitcast Rod and Reel Combo 11 (6-Feet, 6-Inch)

I purchased this rod and reel combo, and was furthermore a little baffled on why it wouldn't cast too much. I looked within also it didn't have got the great adjustment, or another on the geared part. On the geared aspect, i twisted the knob considering it could loosen it up. But to my shock, it has been a cap! it had been taken by me off, and it didn't perform what i hoped. i had to utilize needle nasal area pliers to show it, also it turned the whole spool just. So overall, The anti backlash system works, you CAN transform it on / off, but it is not any abu garcia, diawa, or shimano. And after some exercise, it is possible to cast an excellent ways pretty. and im not really 16 even! so im sure someone over the age of me can cast it. If you are not used to baitcasting reels, Like me, I'd consider purchasing this definately.
I bought this rod/reel combo f¨®r my six-year-old son to ensure that him to focus on casting. I figured at the good deal, if he abused it, dropp¨¦d it in the consume, etc., no huge deal. Regarding the reel itself, you can cast and the adaptable brake is definitely pefect for teaching. Basically, I'm just cleaning up a birds nest every twenty casts, of each other cast rather, which is great when the operator can be six pretty. Suprisingly, the reel casts pretty much. I will throw a mid-weight plastic about ¨¦ighty feet. Lastly, almost per year today and gets utilized pretty regularly it has kept up nicely for. Over all, this can be a great good deal.
This reel and rod combo provides been great! I've used it to greatly help teach my partner how to work with a baitcaster and today she can change the backlash system off and fish with it!
This reel had been great to instruct me how exactly to work with a baitcaster, until I got it out to seafood with for about the 7th period and the deal with would turn however the spool wouldn't switch with it. We tried everything i possibly could think of also it would not repair the nagging issue. The rod is actually good and I maintain deploying it actually. I recommend investing in a bass pro baitcaster, this shall remember to get accustomed to but it will undoubtedly be worth it.
